Company History
Hired-Hand Manufacturing was founded by Grant Crider and began operation in October of 1978. From an operation that began building a single product – the patented curtain drop machine, the Curt-O-Matic, Hired-Hand has spent the years since developing a product line that has gained a significant share of the growing markets we serve.
Product Lines
Some of our major product lines now include metal and fiberglass housing fans, furnace heaters, brooders, infrared tube heating systems, automatic curtain machines, electronic controls, evaporative cooling systems, portable evaporative cooling fans, patented roll-up doors and sidewalls and much more.
The first of these products to take shape after the curtain drop was the automatic curtain machine in 1982. An alarm system followed later that year. 1985 brought Hired-Hand's line of heaters and in 1988, the first electronic controllers were made; making us the first domestic manufacturer of controls specifically designed for the agricultural industry. In early 1990, Hired-Hand entered the ventilation market making our first lines of fans.
Expanding Into New Markets
As years passed, Hired-Hand began growing into the business it is today and saw potential to offer our range of products to industries other than agriculture. In 1996, two additional companies were formed: Hired-Hand Green and RollSeal. Hired-Hand Green markets ventilation and heating systems as well as a full line of greenhouse structures to the horticultural industry, while RollSeal handles accounts in the dairy and industrial markets.
The structure market that was cracked by Hired-Hand Green is something that both Hired-Hand and RollSeal have had success in during recent years, offering all steel poultry and livestock buildings throughout the world.
In 2005, the three companies merged together to form HH Technologies, Inc. While grouped into one business entity, Hired-Hand, Hired-Hand Green and RollSeal still go to market separately, serving as three divisions of HH Technologies.
Looking Forward
Employing more than 350 people in plants and locations around the globe, HH Technologies is poised for growth in the future on a worldwide scale; yet still is family owned and operated by the same Crider family that worked to create the company.
Dedication
Our dedication to our customers and the markets we serve has helped grow our company and is the same concept that we utilize today. We plan on enduring for years to come by remaining true to the values on which we were founded - leading in innovation, quality, integrity and designing products that meet the customer's needs.
